SLSS Development Coaching Workshop

August 16 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

The SLSS Development Coaching Workshop is designed to assist new Development Coaches in completing their online learning requirements and documentation in preparation for final sign-off.

Attendance Requirements

All participants are welcome to attend; however, eligibility is conditional upon completion of the requirements below and providing evidence on the day. Coaches who do not bring the required documentation will not be eligible to participate.

Required Completed Certificates and Documentation

Please bring evidence of completion for the following:

  • ASC Community Coaching General Principles Certificate
  • Safeguarding Children Certificate (SLSA)
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) Letter
  • Development Coach eLearning Completion (SLSA)
  • Sport Integrity Training (ASADA Level 1 – Optional)

Must Bring

Development Coach Assessment Tasks 1-5

  • Downloaded and printed from Session 1 of the course.
  • This confirms completion of the online modules.

Elective Completion Evidence

  • Proof of completed elective(s) is required.
  • Download the completion certificate (where applicable).
  • Bring your Elective Assessment Task document.

One-Month Training Plan

  • Prepare a one-month training plan relevant to your specific discipline.
  • This will be discussed during the session, and George will assist with the final sign-off process.

Development Coach Assessment Portfolio

  • Bring the Development Coach Assessment Portfolio for sign-off.
  • This is the portfolio featuring the surf boat image and available from the Surf Life Saving NSW website.
