Surf Life Saving Sydney respects and acknowledges the traditional custodians across all the lands on which we live, work and patrol, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Our members come from all walks of our community and make the lifesaving movement a stronger organisation. When all members of the community see themselves reflected amongst our lifesavers, we’ll be truly diverse and inclusive of the people we support. We welcome all ages, genders, races, physical abilities, beliefs and sexual orientations.
Rainbow Beaches is an annual event led by Lifesavers with Pride to support surf clubs to showcase the colours of the Progress Flag on their beach to visibly demonstrate their inclusion and support of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Inclusive Beaches aims to assists Surf Life Saving clubs to support the inclusion of people of different abilities and backgrounds to join their local club and learn to be safe at the beach.

Silver Salties is a participation program for older Australians (65+years) at Surf Life Saving Clubs, promoting physical activity, social connections, and involvement in the surf lifesaving community.
