Surf Life Saving Sydney respects and acknowledges the traditional custodians across all the lands on which we live, work and patrol, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Background Image credit: 'Eora Dreaming' depicts the community of the fifteen Surf Life Saving Clubs throughout Sydney, stretching from North Bondi south to Burning Palms in the Royal National Park - Artist 'Billy Reynolds', proud Dharawal and Yuin man.
Our members patrol Sydney’s coastline ensuing our beaches remain safe and secure. They do so with a suite of support and guidance that enable focus to remain on our communities.
Support is provided by National, State and Branch for our Surf Clubs and patrolling members. Support is available in processes, training, resources, apps and other helpful mechanisms. We are passionate about ensuring our lifesavers are skilled, experienced and enthusiastic when patrolling our coastline.

Standard Operating Procedures
Sydney Branch supports the SOPs developed by the state office which provide clarity and guidance on day to day activities while patrolling the beaches. From Lifesaving to Rescue Services, these procedures enable our members to operate the same wherever they may be patrolling along our coastline.
Gear and Equipment Resources
Surf Life Saving NSW offers valuable resources to support clubs, including guidance on vehicle registrations, radio networks, and equipment manuals.
SLSA Operations App
The SLSA Operations App has been created for current patrolling members to conduct and report on patrol activities on a mobile device over traditional paper-based logbooks. Members can use the Operations App for a range of activities, which can be recorded immediately without paper based manual data transfers. The Operations App links to SurfGuard and the SLS Beachsafe App in real-time so that information is shared and recorded much quicker and faster, reducing any paperwork and administrative burden associated with patrol operations.
SLSNSW On Patrol
The Surf Life Saving NSW website provides patrol resources, procedures, guides and operating standards available to support members. These include radio procedures, patrol swaps and beach scenarios, to support a well run patrol.
