It is with both pride and sadness that we announce that SLS Sydney Branch President Elissa Hancock has been elected President of SLSNSW
Elissa has been part of Sydney Branch’s Board of Management since 2017/18, serving in the Director of Administration, Deputy President and President roles, and has done so with passion and enthusiasm. Her dedication to the Branch and commitment to Surf Life Saving as a whole has been exceptional through this time. She has implemented many changes, both public facing that our members would have seen, and behind the scenes that make our activities more valuable to our members. Her support of all areas of the branch, from Lifesaving and Rescue Services, to Surf Sports, Education, Youth and Junior Development and Member Services, as well as behind the scenes in Finance and Administration has been relentless and exemplary. She has always welcomed every club across the branch with the same embrace, regardless of their size (well done Era), and will take that same perspective to her new role.
As first female Branch President, she has led the way for inclusion, and we have no doubt that she will do the same at state now as first female State President. We wish Elissa all the best for her new role.
